“Creative Affirmations” with Kate Tempest
In today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of peace and relaxation can be challenging. Which is why we are excited to introduce a new activity to our wellbeing schedule: “Creative Affirmations” at Kate Tempest’s private ceramics studio on Broughton Sanctuary. This unique experience offers more than just an opportunity to create; it provides a pathway to inner calm and self-expression for participants young and old.
The art of pottery: a therapeutic journey
Pottery has long been recognised for its meditative and therapeutic benefits. As you immerse yourself in the process of shaping clay and adding colour to a ready-made piece of pottery, you will find your mind quieting and your focus sharpening. The repetitive motions of molding the clay and painting its surface engage your senses and promote a state of mindfulness.
Embrace your artistic side
Creative Affirmations is a ceramics painting workshop designed to combine the therapeutic art of pottery decoration with the empowering practice of self-affirmation. Participants will personalise ceramic pots with inspirational words, quotes, and symbols that reflect self-love, belief, acceptance, and positivity. These unique creations will serve as decorative home pieces that continually inspire and uplift.
By the end of the “Creative Affirmation” ceramics session, participants will leave with a beautifully crafted pot that not only serves as home decor but also as a daily reminder of their personal journey towards self-love and acceptance.
Small Group Sessions for Personalised Attention
Our sessions are designed to accommodate a maximum of six participants, allowing for personalised attention and a relaxed atmosphere. Morning sessions start at 10 am, and afternoon sessions begin at 2 pm, making it easy to slot a creative endeavour into your time with us. Private sessions are also available on weekends or weekdays by request, perfect for gatherings with friends, family, or colleagues.
Unplug and Connect
Creative Affirmation sessions offer a unique opportunity to step away from screens and distractions, allowing you to focus on the present moment and connect with your fellow participants in a meaningful way. Whether you are sharing stories and laughter or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the studio, you will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. With a stunning view overlooking the Sanctuary, the tranquility of nature envelops you, amplifying the sense of peace and serenity as you work on your masterpiece. It is not just about creating pottery; it is about immersing yourself in an experience that nurtures your wellbeing.
Take Home a Piece of Inspiration
At the end of each session, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have created something truly unique with your own two hands. Your painted pot will be fired in Kate’s kiln, transforming it into a durable and beautiful work of art that you can cherish for years to come. Additional pottery items created by Kate are also available for purchase on-site.
